Spurs Bull to Join Stock at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas

Spurs Bull to Join Stock at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas

The countdown clock is on for the biggest contest of the year. That’s right, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas starts this week!

Vegas is the perfect backdrop for the high stakes and world titles on the line! And some of our folks are not only going, but competing, too.It will be the first WNFR for our very own Caleb Sanderson, son of Spurs members Benny and Pam Sanderson. He’s a born and bred Kissimmee bull rider who now calls Texas home.

At 26, he’s at the height of his career so far and is only gaining momentum. We couldn’t be more proud of Caleb for earning his spot in such a prestigious contest. He grew up in the Spurs and was the very first person to ride a bull in our new arena when it opened in 2003.

But Caleb isn’t the only athlete raised by the Silver Spurs Club competing in the NFR this year. We’ve also got stock heading west for Dec. 3-12 event.

Silver Spurs bulls have a reputation as some of fiercest in the country, and our boy “Hang ‘Em High” – who competed in the WNFR in Las Vegas in 2014 and at the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Kissimmee earlier this year – is gonna be back in 2015!

Hang ‘Em High is one of the bulls raised at our ranch in Kenansville. Born on the Kempfer ranch in Deer Park, his breed is a Brahman cross. His father was “You Win Again”, an American Brahman bred by Doug Partin. You Win Again competed at the Southeastern Circuit Finals Rodeo in Davie in his prime. The animals give the rodeo performers a run for their money when it comes to strength, fortitude, and showmanship. But whether on four legs or two, our homegrown rodeo athletes are worth a yee-haw, y’all!Share this post with friends to help promote the sport of rodeo and the world-class athletes we raise in the Silver Spurs Club!
