Meet the 2022 Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade Grand Marshals:  Coca-Cola Cowboys and Women’s Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients

The Silver Spurs Riding Club 2021 and 2022 Coca-Cola Cowboy and Women’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipients will be the grand marshals at the 2022 Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade on Saturday, February 19th at 11 a.m. in Downtown St. Cloud. The Silver Spurs Riding Club awarded 2021 honorees Tom and Martha Booth, Brenda Hensel, and Clemie Jo Lamb along with 2022 honorees Mike and Brenda Wilder these prestigious awards for their diligent work spanning many years promoting ranching, the rodeo way of life, and the Silver Spurs Riding Club.

Award recipients lined up with their awards

Tom Booth and Martha Booth are long-time Silver Spurs Riding Club members. As a child, Martha grew up working in the concession stand with her mom and riding in the Quadrille. She has been serving The Club in various ways since being initiated at 21 years old. After marrying Tom, he became a member at 25 years old, and they have been working in the concession stand and hospitality room together ever since. Mike and Brenda Wilder served for years on the ticket and livestock committee prior to being initiated into the Silver Spurs Riding Club in 1989. Mike makes trophy saddles and chaps for rodeo athletes and queens. They continue to volunteer their time in the hospitality room as they cook and serve members, contestants, and rodeo personnel alongside their friends and family. Brenda Hensel was a member of a pioneer Osceola County family. She was a member of the Silver Spurs Riding Club since 1977, volunteering her time as an usher during rodeo events, handing out programs, and greeting rodeo fans in the lobby. Hensel passed away in January 2021, prior to being recognized as the 2021 Women’s Lifetime Achievement recipient. She will be represented at the parade by her daughter, Heather Hobbs. Clemie Jo Lamb was a 4H Leader, a member of the Osceola Cattlewomen's, a member of the Silver Spurs Riding Club since 1994, and a chaperone for Miss Rodeo America for fifteen years. She was famous for her banana pudding and volunteered her time in the hospitality room, cooking and serving those involved in the rodeo. Lamb passed away in December 2020, prior to being recognized as the 2021 Women’s Lifetime Achievement recipient. The Silver Spurs Riding Club celebrates decades of rodeo tradition and community involvement at the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade with Grand Marshals Tom and Martha Booth and Mike and Brenda Wilder, rodeo queens from all around the country, rodeo clowns, and the Silver Spurs Big Boss Dustin Bronson in Downtown St. Cloud on February 19th at 11 a.m.
