Lacie Stark was born and raised in the heart of Osceola County, Florida. She climbed into the saddle at the tender age of two, under the skillful eye of her “papa,” Norman West. She obtained a love for the agriculture industry and the western way of life when her papa took her to work cows. As a little towhead walking around the cow pens covered in dirt and sweat, and of course cow poop, she dreamed of someday becoming a rodeo queen. She joined the Silver Spurs Pee Wee Quadrille team in 2004, at just five years old. Over the next 13 years, Lacie continued her love for the Silver Spurs Riding Club by competing in the Miss Silver Spurs pageant since the age of 9, riding in the quadrille team, carrying sponsor flags and having the honor to carry the American flag during each rodeo. Lacie loves riding horses, working cows, competing in rodeo queen pageants, and air boating with her family. She has been a part of the Far Reach Junior Ranch rodeo team, the Osceola Anglers high school fishing team, The Lady Longhorn Varsity Weightlifting team, The Florida Cattleman’s Association and The Harmony High School FFA chapter.
Lacie is a recent graduate of Harmony High School and is currently attending Technical Education Center of Osceola to obtain a cosmetologist license. After completing the program, Lacie hopes to obtain a degree in marketing and further pursue her passion for coaching and mentoring young ladies to become rodeo queens. Lacie aspires to compete at the circuit, state, and national level one day. Throughout the Miss Silver Spurs pageant, she has dedicated much time and effort into making her dreams become a reality. Along with the Miss Silver Spurs Queen title, she was also awarded the Aileen Bill-Chapman Horsemanship title, and Miss Photogenic. Lacie is looking forward to not only being an advocate for the PRCA but also an ambassador for the Silver Spurs Riding Club throughout her reign.
Hallie is the 13-year-old daughter of Johnny and Mindy McTyre of St. Cloud, FL. She is a honor-roll student in the eighth grade at Narcoossee Middle School. She enjoys cheerleading, softball, showing market hogs in 4H, and promoting the Silvers Spurs Rodeo. She has participated in the 4H program for the past six years and enjoys creating a bond with her animals. She is in the Blue Ribbon 4H Club where she has served as vice-president. She has made many new friends in 4H and hopes to make many more throughout the years. She has grown up loving the sport of rodeo and riding horses with her friends and family members. She would like to extend a big thank you to those who’ve helped her along the way of becoming a rodeo queen; Mrs. Sydney Bronson for the beautiful hair, Ms. Audra Weber for the gorgeous make-up, Mr. Debora Whaley for helping her get to where she is today, and a huge thank you to her parents for reminding her that hard work pays off. One of Hallie’s favorite lines is “When the work you put in is realized, let yourself feel the pride, but always stay humble and kind”. She plans to one day run for the title of Miss Rodeo America but, for now, she is very excited to fulfill her role as Junior Miss Silver Spurs. She can’t wait to see what God has in store for her this year as the 2017 Junior Miss Silver Spurs.
