148th Silver Spurs Rodeo Champions

Cowboys, rodeo fans, and Silver Spurs Riding Club volunteers were all happy to step back into the arena on February 18-20, 2022 for the 148th Silver Spurs Rodeo. Cowboys and cowgirls from all over the country competed for their share of over $100,000 at the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi hosted right here in Kissimmee. Our secretaries have finalized scores, and we are excited to share the results with you! Below are the top three winners in each rodeo event:

All-around cowboy: Juan Alcazar, $3,851, steer wrestling and team roping

Bareback Riding: 1. Keenan Hayes, 84.5 points, $2,876; 2. Bradlee Miller, 83.5, $2,205; 3. Bill Tutor, 82, $1,630

Steer Wrestling: 1. (tie) Juan Alcazar Jr and J.W. Ery, 3.7 seconds, $2,445 each; 3. Steve Gladding, 3.9, $1,934

Team Roping: 1. Justin Yost/Garrett Smith, 4.8 seconds, $2,309 each; 2. Keven Daniel/Adam Plyler, 4.9, $2,008; 3. Spunk Sasser/Sam Morgan, 5.0, $1,707

Saddle Bronc Riding: 1. Wade Brown, 84 points, $3,105; 2. CoBurn Bradshaw, 83.5, $2,380; 3. Dawson Dahm, 82.5, $1,759

Tie-down roping: 1. Colt Papy, 8.3 seconds, $2,983; 2. King Pickett, 8.8, $2,669; 3. Justin Smith, 9.0, $2,355

Barrel Racing: 1. Sarah Waguespack, 15.86 seconds, $3,457; 2. Margo Crowther, 16.05, $2,766; 3. Presley Smith, 16.09, $2,247

Bull riding: 1. Grayson Cole, 88.5 points on Silver Spurs Club's Blue Print, $3,685; 2. Ernie Courson Jr, 78, $2,889; 3. Caleb McMillan, 77.5, $2,207

Total payoff: $102,673
